Check Out The Open Letter Obasanjo Wrote To Buhari

image
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has written the President elect, Gen Buhari a letter. In the letter, Chief Obasanjo charged Gen. Buhari to embark on reforming all of Nigeria’s national institutions, particularly the military.
The full text of the letter below…
I hasten to congratulate you on your success and victory in the Presidential Elections of March 28, 2015. Your success and victory after three previous unsuccessful attempts must be great object lessons for you and for all politicians, particularly in Nigeria. For me, the totality of 2015 elections hold many lessons for our democracy and democratisation process, which are both maturing. On this occasion, the system has been unnecessarily overheated before and particularly during the campaigns when emphasis was more on trivialities and hate, divisive, undignifying and disrespectful statements and comments rather than on pressing issues requiring attention.
I know that in victory, you will be magnanimous to start binding the wounds and bitterness occasioned by the campaign and the evil disciples.
With so much harm already done to many national institutions including the military, which proudly nurtured you and me, you will have a lot to do on institution reform, education, healthcare, economy, security, infrastructure, power, youth employment, agribusiness, oil and gas, external affairs, cohesiveness of our nation and ridding our land of corruption.
Your varied and wide experience will undoubtedly stand you in good stead. I am also sure that there are men and women of goodwill, character and virtue across the board that you can mobilise to join hands with you in the reform, repairs and redirection that will be imperative to put Nigeria back on the fast lane of good governance, unity, cohesiveness, development and progress.
Once again, I felicitate with you and wish you well.

Important ways for promoting your business on Instagram

modern-advertisng-ideas-1.jpeg Instagram is a great tool for promoting your business, especially if you offer visually-appealing products such as T-shirts or fashion accessories. However, even if the products you offer don’t translate well into photographs, Instagram is still a great network for raising brand awareness. Here are five sure-fire ways to gain more followers and increase the visibility of your business on Instagram. 1. Consistent posting is key Keep your followers engaged and grab the attention of new followers by posting to Instagram every day, multiple times if possible. If you don’t have enough unique photos for this, crosspost other interesting photos that you find online. Also, you can post images consisting of overlaid text such as interesting quotations. Quotations are generally effective because users who agree with the quote tend to tag their friends in the comment section, thus increasing the visibility of your profile. 2. Use the power of the Hashtag Categorize all of your posts by including numerous hashtags in the caption box. Research trending hashtag phrases and incorporate them to increase your content’s visibility. Also, create a unique hashtag for your business and include it in your posts periodically. Doing so automatically generates a unique category for your content and allows users to easily find your tagged photos via Instagram’s search feature. 3. Offer special promotions Occasionally offer special promotions to your followers such as free or discounted merchandise. Require users to share your photos or use your business’ unique hashtag to be eligible for each promotion. This strategy basically generates free marketing for your business: participating users will be advertising your profile to all of their own followers. Also, new users will be compelled to follow your profile in order to take part in future promotions, giving you a larger base of potential customers.funnystreetz

China internet regulator slams Google's certificate refusal

A Chinese internet regulator has slammed as “unacceptable” a decision by Google to no longer recognise its certificates of trust, a move which could deter Chrome browser users accessing sites approved by the authority.Google said on its official security blog on Wednesday that it would no longer recognise the China Internet Network Information Center (CNNIC) certificate authorities, following a joint investigation between the company and CNNIC into a potential security lapse last month. That means that users of Google’s Chrome, the world’s top internet browser, may get a warning when attempting to visit sites certified by CNNIC. It is not immediately clear how many websites CNNIC has certified and that could yield warning messages. CNNIC, which plays a central role in administering China’s internet by allocating and certifying IP addresses and web domain names, urged Google to consider user rights and interests. “The decision that Google has made is unacceptable and unintelligible,” the agency said in a statement on its website. Last week CNNIC’s certificates, which are used to ensure that the connection between an internet user and a website is secure, came under scrutiny after an official Google blog post said the Chinese agency had allowed Cairo-based MCS Holdings to issue unauthorised certificates for various Google domains. That rendered connections between users and those websites vulnerable to ”man-in-the-middle” hacking attacks, Google said. These attacks can intercept and alter communications. Microsoft and Mozilla, which together with Google develop three of the world’s most-used web browsers, also removed trust of those unauthorised certificates last week, following Google’s “While neither we nor CNNIC believe any further unauthorised digital certificates have been issued, nor do we believe the misissued certificates were used outside the limited scope of MCS Holdings’ test network, CNNIC will be working to prevent any future incidents,” Google said on Wednesday. The US search giant added that CNNIC was welcome to reapply for recognition “once suitable technical and procedural controls are in place,” and CNNIC’s existing certificates would be trusted for a limited time through a whitelist. MCS Holdings said in a statement on its website last week that the security lapse was the result of human error following testing of certificates issued to it by CNNIC, which was meant to take place in a controlled environment. The Cyberspace Administration of China, the country’s internet regulator, did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Google shut down its local search engine in China in 2010 over censorship concerns, and most of its services are now inaccessible in China.

I’m still a virgin because I can’t maintain an erection

I’m a 24-year-old man who is addicted to porn, and I feel like a total failure. How do I stop hating myself?

I am a 24-year-old man, and a virgin. There have been plenty of opportunities to have sex, but every time I get into bed with a woman I can’t get or maintain an erection. My fear of not being able to perform has led to me avoiding sex altogether. I think this might be because of my porn addiction, which I’m finally taking steps to address. I feel like a total failure, especially around my friends, who are far more sexually experienced than I am. How do I stop hating myself?
Change your focus. Right now you are being driven by a desire to lose your virginity, but such pressure – coupled with self-loathing – often leads to erectile dysfunction. Instead of viewing women as a means to an end, approach them with the intention of simply dating – getting to know them and having fun.
If you find someone you really like, allow things to develop really slowly. First, start sharing non-genital erotic touches, words, looks and games. These will occur naturally once you lower the expectations you have placed on yourself and stop trying to emulate “professionals”. Move to a higher level of intimacy only when your body and mind strongly guide you.
Sex is a learned experience, so yes, you will have to accept that it takes time, and that every lover will be different. Talk to your partner, ask for feedback, listen and learn. Gear your fantasy life to feature real-life women, although a little “bridging” porn fantasy is allowable during real-life encounters. I won’t tell if you don’t.

Why I quit Ottolenghi's Nopi to cook school dinners

Nicole Pisani
Where’s my potato? WHERE’S. MY. POTATO?” Day one in my new role as a school chef, and I’ve brought a small child to tears. “Oh, er, look at all these other delicious things we have today – there’s chicken, vegetarian korma, lovely salad and vegetables …”
“But I have jacket potato every day.”
Day two in my new role as a school chef, the jacket potatoes are at the ready. But things don’t go well. On Monday, word had quickly got around that there was a new chef in the Gayhurst community school kitchen, whose previous job was at Yotam Ottolenghi’s restaurant Nopi, and we had about 60 extra mouths to feed, children and teachers. We ran out of food and had to spend the last hour of service cooking whatever we could find. I was trying to take this as a compliment, but couldn’t help going home with those disappointed faces etched on my mind.
On Wednesday, I burned my hand, so instead of getting in everyone’s way in the kitchen, I decided to help serve the children. In that moment, I realised it doesn’t matter whether you are in a restaurant, cooking for friends at home or serving children in a primary school: the direct contact between you and the people eating your food is the greatest buzz you get as a chef. And children will give you instant feedback just through the looks on their faces. I had coriander and parsley to scatter over the crushed potatoes, only to be told by the first boy in line: “No green stuff, please.” But then, a few minutes later, another child smiled up at me and said: “It’s like restaurant food.”
Many people thought I was mad to give up running the kitchen at Nopi. How could being a school chef offer anywhere near the same excitement or challenges? As it turns out, it’s the hardest thing I’ve ever taken on as a chef.
Working at Nopi was a dream come true. I started as chef de partie on the fish section, and within two years I was given the opportunity to run the kitchen. I felt part of a family, but there is no getting around the fact that the hours in a professional, commercial kitchen are long and unsociable. I needed a break to get my energy back, so I took some time out. Then I heard that Gayhurst community school in Hackney was looking for a chef, and it got me thinking. There is something special about cooking for children, about having the chance to talk to them about food. A few weeks later, and here I am, trying to convince small children that fresh fish is tastier than fish fingers.
At the heart of any kitchen, be it in a high-profile restaurant or a school that serves lunch to 500 children daily, it is the team that makes the difference. I learned that at Nopi, and it’s my first priority at the school, too – to work with the staff and develop a team of skilled people who have passion and knowledge for what they do. With skills and energy, we don’t need a huge budget to cook really good food.
So far, we’ve introduced the children (gently, I hope) to a little za’atar on their beetroot; we are stir-frying all the vegetables separately, so they remain crunchy and taste of themselves. It’s been a steep learning curve, too – kids seem to really like couscous, and prefer their cucumber in ribbons. Last week, we put pots of pea shoots on the tables for the bigger kids to snip and scatter over their meals themselves. I can already tell that the children are interested in what they are eating, and I believe that’s a sign we can make a positive change.

The dawn raid on students in Garissa – estimated to be al-Shabaab’s 17th attack in Kenya in three years – came with a harrowing echo of what caught the world’s attention at the Westgate shopping mall. The militants claimed to have taken Christians hostage while sparing Muslims.
In the 2013 atrocity in Nairobi, al-Shabaab gunmen asked captives to recite verses of the Qur’an or name relatives of the prophet Muhammad. Those who answered wrong were shot dead. A Jewish man reportedly saved himself by writing Qur’anic scripture on his hand to memorise.
The cold-blooded tactic may be traceable to al-Shabaab’s struggle to establish itself and gain membership of the al-Qaida network. The group, whose name means “the youth” in Arabic, emerged as the radical youth wing of Somalia’s now-defunct Union of Islamic Courts in 2006. It advocates the Saudi-inspired Wahhabi version of Islam, while most Somalis are Sufis. It imposed a strict version of sharia laws in areas under its control, including stoning to death women accused of adultery and amputating the hands of thieves.
Al-Shabaab began courting Osama bin Laden in 2009 with recordings such as At Your Service Osama, according to an Associated Press report based on documents retrieved from northern Mali and Bin Laden’s safe house in Pakistan. Bin Laden rebuffed al-Shabaab, urging it in 2010 to review its operations “in order to minimise the toll to Muslims”.
His death, however, paved the way for al-Shabaab to gain admission to al-Qaida in February 2012. The Somali president, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, told the Guardian a year later: “Experts are sent by al-Qaida to train and arm and give all the new techniques of al-Qaida to al-Shabaab. Al-Shabaab is an affiliate, an extended hand of al-Qaida, there’s no doubt, there’s a lot of proofs of that.”

Al-Shabaab is believed to have between 7,000 and 9,000 fighters, including a significant contingent from abroad, although its propaganda has recently been struggling to compete with that of Isis and Nigeria’s Boko Haram. From 10 March 2012, it had carried out an estimated 16 attacks in predominantly Christian Kenya, killing at least 317 people prior to Thursday, according to a count by the Mail & Guardian Africa website. Police statistics put the death toll at 312. Al-Shabaab claims it is acting in retaliation for the presence of Kenyan troops on Somali soil.
Last June in the coastal town of Mpeketoni, attackers reportedly went door to door, demanding to know if the men inside were Somali-speaking Muslims. Those who were not were killed – at least 48 in total. In November, a bus was held up outside the town of Mandera and again passengers were separated according to religion, with 28 non-Muslims murdered. Ten days later 36 quarry workers were also massacred in the area, the majority of whom were non-Muslim.
In response to the unfolding hostage drama in Garissa on Thursday, the political activist Boniface Mwangi tweeted: “Lets respond with love not hate. Al-Shabab is trying to use religion to divide Kenyans.”
The policy of targeting Christians remains sporadic and inconsistent, possibly reflecting factionalism and lack of unity. Some attacks have been carried out indiscriminately, with grenades thrown into bars and bus stations. Muslims were among at least 67 people killed and 175 injured at Westgate.
Al-Shabaab has also continued to kill Muslims with impunity in Somalia itself, despite losing significant territory there. Last week it claimed responsibility for a deadly attack on a Mogadishu hotel in which at least 24 people, including six militants, were killed. The siege lasted more than 12 hours as Somalia’s security forces tried to dislodge gunmen who had taken control of parts of the Maka-al-Mukarramah hotel.
The attack on Garissa also raises questions about the quality of Kenya’s state security apparatus, its long-term military commitment to Somalia and whether the government might use such attacks as a pretext for a crackdown that raises fears about threats to civil liberties. A series of foreign travel warnings have crippled the economically vital tourism industry. Just hours before the latest attack began, the country’s president, Uhuru Kenyatta, said Kenya was “safe as any country in the world”.

My friend the suicide bomber: meet the men recruited to kill
Communities in Garissa, where illiteracy, poverty and joblessness are rife, have long felt marginalised and neglected by the government in faraway Nairobi. Mwangi said: “A young man in Garissa of Somali origin is seen as a terrorist suspect. That’s where the problem lies.”
Peter Aling’o, a senior researcher at the Institute of Security Studies in Kenya, said: “The government needs to be treating this as a growing problem from within. What is driving Kenyan youth into joining al-Shabaab? What are the political issues, what are the economic issues? We need a national dialogue to give Kenyan youth a sense of belonging and self-worth.”

Show of shame: Actors fight over Dame Jonathans’ N3m

The recent visit of First Lady Dame Patience Jonathan to Enugu has
left a big scar on Nollywood. This is because the police in Enugu are
currently looking for ways to settle the bitter feud that engulfed the
artistes’ community in the state over how an alleged First Lady’s
largesse would be shared among top actors who attended her rally.

This feud has seemingly put one group known as Nollywood Apostles
against other stakeholders in Enugu State led by Patience Ozokwor
popularly known as Mama G, making it very difficult for the center to
hold.<br />

As at last Thursday, some of Nollywood’s big wigs involved were still
angry and had refused to show up at the Police Area Command, Abakpa
Nike, Enugu where the case was domiciled. The Area Commander had
arranged for them to settle the matter amicably.<br />

Checks reveal that Nollywood Apostles comprising some of the best
faces in the movie industry including Steve Ajebo Eboh, Charles Awurum,
Emeka Enyiocha, Benedict Johnson, Chinwe Owoh, and Ngozi Ezeonu among
others had been featuring at several PDP campaign rallies including the
one that brought Dame Jonathan to Enugu.<br />

According to a source, trouble started after the departure of the
First Lady when facilitators of the rally, Patience Ozokwor and Chinyere
Wilfred were on stage giving the vote of thanks. An aide to Dame
Jonathan had allegedly dropped a parcel containing N3 million into the
hands of one of the actors, which he quickly cornered with the
connivance of his fellow ‘Apostles’. But the cookies crumbled when the
aide called Mama G aside and intimated her of the monetary gift and to
whom it was handed.<br />

“The real drama started when the actor who collected the parcel was
about to zoom out of the venue in his car. Mama G re-enacted her screen
roles for real. In her view, the money was meant for all the
stakeholders who graced the rally and not only for the Nollywood
Apostles. Mama G stood in the way of the car, yelling and asking to be
crushed just as she sent someone to call the police. She didn’t mind
being called <em>witch, ashawo </em>and all sorts of unprintable names.
She blocked the car until the police came and took all the parties to
the station,” a source says.<br />

However, Steve Eboh has denied ever being involved in such a show of
shame. He told Entertainer: “I never had anything to do with any money
or anything like that. Don’t mind them, my brother. As I speak with you
now, I am on my way to see Father Ede in Elele, Rivers State.”<br />

For Charles Awurum, who later returned this reporter’s call after
several phone calls made to him, it was denial all the way. Hear him: “I
don’t know about any issues concerning Dame Jonathan’s money. I am in
Port Harcourt now, please.”<br />

On her part, Patience Ozokwor confirmed the story but she wouldn’t
want to elaborate further, until after the elections. “The police have
invited everyone to the station for settlement,” she volunteered.

Heineken UEFA Champions League Finale Winners Emerge

Thirteen lucky Nigerian Heineken fans are now set to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience as this year’s UEFA Champions League draws to a close .The lucky Heineken fans who were amongst the over 3000 uefafootball fans that took part in the raffle draws across Nigeria have won an all-expense paid trip to Heineken’s world-famous Ibiza Finale, where fans converge from all over the world to watch the UEFA Champions League final match. They will also enjoy lavish beach parties on the exotic island of Ibiza, a lush tourist destination off the coast of Spain. Other winners of the raffle draw took home various premium quality consolation prizes.
For Daniel Ogar, an Abuja-based Arsenal fan, the dream trip will soothe the pain of seeing his team knocked out of the tournament.  He enthused, “I have never been part of any raffle draw event but, this evening, I linked up with my friends at this bar and as fate would have it, I am a winner! Stanley Mgbemere had similarly arrived the aptly named Abuja Dream Recreation Centre with hopes of watching Arsenal defy the odds, but he left with much more than he could ever have imagined. “Although the match did not go the way of my darling team Arsenal, I am compensated with the fact that I will enjoy an all-expense paid trip to Europe, courtesy of Heineken.”
Izunna Nwobodo and Egbuche Pope also won at the same Abuja bar. In Enugu, Ogbonna Ifeanyi’s life changing date with destiny was at Bush House Arena. “I have always enjoyed my Heineken beer, but had never previously been interested in any form of lottery or raffle draw. Even this evening, I was passive about the whole exercise, but a friend encouraged me to enter the draw.” The other winners from Enugu were AramideKehinde, Onyekachi Colins and Lowis Nkemjika Ezema. They will be joined from Port Harcourt by Ogie Omanoye, Raymond Iyala and Nkemka Eze, who all won their trips at Lesuka Bar.
Chinedu Chine won from Ibiza Bar in Festac Town, Lagos. Scarcely believing his luck, he pleaded, “Please if it’s dream, don’t wake me up”.
But for the other Lagos-based winner, it was not purely a matter of luck. Informed choice and dogged determination also played a part. Bello Sharafa had read about the draws in the newspapers. “Although I always like to enjoy my match night in the bar, when I learnt that Heineken was coming to this particular place, I decided to come here.”
“As an FC Barcelona fan, my reward is double portion because the result of the match went my way and at same time I won a ticket to travel to Europe!”
Aside the unique opportunity to enjoy the UEFA Champions League final match in Ibiza, Nigerian consumers have also been part of Heineken’s ’90 prizes in 90 minutes’ promotion.

How Does Eniola, a 23 Years Old Son of Akure Road Sweeper Beat The Likes Of Konga, Jumia, Kaymu To Their Game, And Started His Home Based Small Scale Importation Business With Only N10,450 Without Traveling Abroad, Importing Android Phones, Phone Accessories, Jewelries, Brazilian Hair etc?
___________________________________
The answer will shock and delight you! It’s an amazing new discovery that's now making Eniola up to N250,000 profits monthly importing and selling stuffs, without even a shop and custom wahala!

Here's Exactly How Eniola Does it!
His name is Eniola (surname not included on request), he was just a secondary school leaver from Akure, Ondo state.
His problems have always been capital to implement all he has learnt   about how to import genuine original items legitimately from Asia, USA, Europe etc at stupidly low prices without traveling abroad whatsoever.
After trying all he could without anybody helping out, he pressed on his mom to lend him about N10,500.
He then swung into action!

Guess the first product he imported?

O yea... that's some colorful blackberry phone covers.

And guess how much he bought each of them; and how much he sold them here in
Nigeria?

Yes, those were fancy blackberry covers...

Ladies love them like crazy!

The product sells for $9.41 per 10 pieces. (If you’re buying above 20 pieces)

That’s about $0.941 per piece… equivalent of N148.678 in Naira

70 pieces amount to $65.87
Which is equals to $65.87 x N158 = N10,407.46

See screenshot from the website he bought them from , directly…

That's to say that,

The price of one amounts to N10,407.46 divided by 70 = N148.678
If you look at the screenshot above closely, you’ll understand that he got the items shipped to him FREE of charge.
Not to worry, even for products that require shipping fee, there’s an insider tips to knock the shipping fee off.

Okay, back to my boy’s mini importation exploit.
We ordered (yes, we, cos I helped him!) and paid for the phone covers easily with an ATM card from a particular Nigerian bank (more on this shortly) and in exactly 11 working days, the 70 pieces of the product came in.

He immediately talked to a phone accessory seller in his area about the items.
Happily and hurriedly, the seller bought off the 70 pieces for N550 each.

My boy made a Profit of:
He got them for N148.678 each, and sold for N550
That is; N550 – N148.678 = N401

Eniola made N401 on each of the blackberry covers he bought for N148.678.

So, N401 x 70 = N28,070

In all, he made a profit of
N17,663 (N28,070 – N10,407)

He paid back the N10,500 he borrowed from his mom and was left with about N17,493 or thereabout.

Chicken change I hear you say?

Wait till you read this… that’s not all,
Immediately after selling off his first consignment, this guy went ahead to order other different hot selling items and resold them at 3 times the prices.

Take a look at these products at the next page.

The next was…
That’s a brand new Android tablet. He got 2 of it at N8,848 each (total = N17,696)

Guess what… a banker neighbor of his and one other lady picked them up the next day for N45,000 each.

That’s pure N90,000 of cold profits.

What Next...?

Having realized the enormous potentials in this business, this guy was eager to take his mini importation business to another level…
He thought of another hot in demand product to go for with the whole of his N90,000…

He pounced on this:
That’s some 18K gold plated necklace…
You’ll agree with me that any average Nigerian lady can go any length to raise cash to get such a gorgeous jewelry
…even if it means forfeiting their school fees.

The price?

$4.28 if you’re buying below 6 pieces…
But because my boy was to go for it in bulk, he got it at $4.07 per piece.
That’s about N644 in naira value.

With Eniola’s N90,000, he got about 139 pieces of this sweet looking jewelry.

NB
: I know the question on your mind right now!

You’re tempted to ask if this Eniola dey chop at allDoesn’t spend from the money?

This time, in about 14 days, the consignment landed… and before then, he he delivered them all to some jewelry sellers, whom he had earlier contacted.

They paid cash.

Guess how much they paid for one of it…
Guess…

Still guess…

Okay, let me tell you…

One final guess…

He sold one of it for N1,800
So, he made a profit of N1800 x 139 = N250,000

Huh!

Eniola now has more than enough capital from the N10,500 initially borrowed from his mom (and have paid back!)
The truth is, Eniola is gradually moving from a mini importer to a standard import rock star.
The last time I spoke with him, he told me he has already ordered 30 of this item:
That’s a portable washing machine for only $40 (about N6,320)

Here’s a clearer view:
Don’t mind the shipping fee there… if you subscribe to my free email newsletter, I’ll show you how to knock off every shipping fee and get every item shipped to you for 100% free.

This tip works 98% of the time!
By my estimation (not Eniola’s), this item can easily be sold for N20,000.

And if my estimation is anything to go by, and Eniola sells it for that amount, he will be smiling to the bank with a profit of:

N20,000 x 30 = N600,000
He spent only N6,320 x 30 = N189,600
Estimated profit is N600,000 – N189,600 = N410,400

Yeah… he can even sell it higher who knows!

Don't you think this is the same secret the big players have been using?
I'm talking about the mobile phone sellers (Slot, Jumia etc), cloth sellers, watch sellers
... and have done everything to keep secret?

I’ll be showing you full details of how to go about this business in the coming days…
I am not talking about any of those hullabaloo mini importation stuffs you hear people sing about everywhere… NO!

You will see for yourself shortly!

Okay, let me give you a head up:
I just finished researching about this product and have gotten about 3 dealers here who are ready to buy them off from me for N17,000 each.
The price is $21.21 (about N3,351)

So, I’m already sure to be making about N13,649 from each of this.
All I need to net 1 million Naira is to import about 90 pieces of this.
Chikina!

Who wouldn’t like to make this kind of profit
